If you had to pick an employee with a true zest for life here at Copper Peak Logistics, Candelaria “Candy” Ortiz would be one of the first that stands out. She spends her days here doing a number of different tasks for us, depending on the demands that day: Pulling orders that come in, getting club orders ready (picking or packing), helping with receiving, and more.
Candy is the type of person who wants to live life to the fullest. “I’m passionate about my work and personal life,” she says “I enjoy every single minute of my life like it was the last one. I love making a difference.” That attitude is on display in everything she does, whether performing with her folklórico dance group, reading poetry, hiking in the mountains, enjoying a good tequila, or just taking time to learn from the other Copper Peak employees.
For our part, we love that Candy is someone who is easy to talk to but who also has a wicked sense of humor. (When we first asked what she loved about working here, she joked “Break time and lunch!”) And we love that she shows up ready to take on whatever needs taking on—thank you, Candy!
