This month, our employee spotlight is on someone who plays a critical role in our warehouse: Maria Carreras, part of our maintenance and sanitation team. Maria’s job is to help ensure all of our other employees have a clean, orderly environment in which to work, and that the warehouse itself stays clean and sanitary.

Maria imagines that others would describe her as “funny, introverted, and easy-going.” But underneath that easy-going exterior is someone who is adventurous—she likes to go on hikes, get to know new places, and try out all kinds of different foods. When not trying something new, she practices yoga and meditation, and also spends time with her children and her extended family.

When we asked Maria what she likes best about working at Copper Peak Logistics, she noted the mutual respect that is found here. “The company is really mindful of the needs of the workers,” she says. “Everyone tries to be nice and respectful of each other.”

We feel that Maria embodies that respect herself, always being mindful and respectful of others. We love having her as part of the team, and we hope that here at Copper Peak she will continue to make new friends and find new adventures.
