At Copper Peak, all of our employees are hardworking. But Maria Duarte takes that calling to the next level. “I’m a warrior at heart. I work hard and take pride in what I do,” says Maria. “In fact, I like it when there is a lot of work so that it keeps me busy all day. It helps the day go faster.”
We get to see Maria’s hard work every day as she works the club line, and also helps with pulling and packing daily orders. But that focus is tempered by a fun side, too. She likes sharing a good laugh with her fellow employees, all of whom see her as a happy, helpful person.
Outside of Copper Peak, Maria is all about her family. She is proud of the fact that she comes from Michoacan in Mexico, and equally proud of her family. She often has family and friends over for games like bingo, dominos, burro—any game can be an excuse for folks to get together. She loves to cook the family their favorites, like pozole or birria.
It’s that sort of “work hard, play hard” attitude that we love about Maria, and we are also proud to have her as part of our family here at Copper Peak Logistics!
