Women’s History Month at Copper Peak Logistics

At Copper Peak Logistics, wine industry operational excellence is never the result of a single moment, it’s built through thousands of decisions, actions, and details executed the right way, every day. Behind every successful shipment and every satisfied winery partner is a team of people who take ownership, solve problems, and ensure that nothing is left to chance.

This Women’s History Month, we’re proud to recognize four women whose work spans both sides of our operation, from client services to warehouse operations. Each plays a critical role in delivering the level of service our winery partners trust us to provide: Amanda Castorena, Charena Jordan, Sue Price, and Tenia Bass.

Together, they represent what it means to power operations with precision, care, and accountability.

Bringing Vision to Life: Amanda Castorena

Every successful shipment starts long before a bottle is picked or packed, it starts with planning, communication, and alignment.

Amanda Castorena, Account Executive, plays a key role in translating a winery’s vision into operational reality. With seven years at Copper Peak and a background deeply rooted in the wine industry, Amanda understands both the logistical and emotional side of every shipment.

She works closely with winery partners to prepare for club releases, allocations, and custom programs, aligning timelines, packaging, and expectations well in advance. Acting as the bridge between our winery partners and our operations team, she ensures that every detail, from marketing intent to packaging execution, is clearly communicated and understood.

For Amanda, it’s not just about moving shipments, it’s about building partnerships rooted in trust.

Keeping Everything on Track: Charena Jordan

Once plans are in motion, execution depends on structure, follow-through, and relentless attention to detail.

Charena Jordan, Operations Administrative Assistant, has been a cornerstone of Copper Peak for 18 years. Her role sits at the center of coordination, managing returned packages, carrier claims, damages, and customer requests with precision and accountability.

In the mornings, she serves as ground control in our Will Call area, coordinating activity, supporting the Receiving Team, and ensuring everything stays on track. In the afternoons, she shifts focus to detailed follow-through, processing requests and working directly with carriers to resolve package issues.

Charena doesn’t just manage problems, she owns them. From tracking down lost shipments to ensuring reimbursements are secured, she provides something our clients value deeply: peace of mind.

Driving Daily Execution: Sue Price

In our St. Louis facility, the day begins early and Sue Price is often the one setting it in motion.

With 12 years at Copper Peak, Sue’s leadership as Warehouse Supervisor helps establish the rhythm of the operation. She prepares the facility for the day ahead, reviewing priorities, staging materials, and ensuring the team has what they need to execute.

From there, she moves seamlessly across the warehouse, picking, packing, shipping, and supporting wherever needed. Her knowledge of systems, equipment, and workflows allows her to step into any role and keep operations moving efficiently.

Sue brings consistency to the floor, ensuring that every order is handled with the same level of care and precision our winery partners expect.

Powering the Floor: Tenia Bass

Execution at scale requires focus, flexibility, and the ability to adapt in real time, especially during high-volume wine club releases.

Tenia Bass, a 10-year member of our St. Louis operations team, plays a critical role in keeping that momentum strong. She prepares packing and shipping stations, ensuring the team is set up for success before the day even begins.

At the heart of her role is managing the club line, where hundreds or thousands of orders move through the operation at once. Tenia ensures each project is organized, staged, and executed according to custom-crafted, winery-specific processes.

Her versatility allows her to support receiving, operate equipment, and open and close the facility when needed. No matter where she’s working, her focus remains the same: accuracy, efficiency, and getting the job done right.

One Team, One Standard

While their roles differ, Amanda, Charena, Sue, and Tenia are connected by a shared mindset: ownership, accountability, and pride in their work.

Amanda ensures the vision is clear.
Charena ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
Sue ensures the operation runs with consistency and discipline.
Tenia ensures execution stays strong, even at scale.

Together, they represent the full lifecycle of what we do at Copper Peak, from partnership and planning to problem-solving and fulfillment.

Life Beyond Logistics

Outside of work, each of these women brings that same energy into their personal lives.

Amanda enjoys time with her son, traveling, attending sporting events and music festivals, and exploring new restaurants.
Charena centers her world around her four children, whether she’s cooking at home or enjoying a night out with a margarita in hand.
Sue spends her time fishing, participating in tournaments, and making memories with her grandchildren.
Tenia balances work and family life, supporting her daughter and staying connected to what matters most.

Celebrating Women Powering Our Operations

At Copper Peak Logistics, excellence isn’t defined by a single role—it’s built through the collective effort of people who care deeply about the work they do and the clients they serve.

This Women’s History Month, we celebrate Amanda, Charena, Sue, and Tenia for the impact they make every day. Their dedication, skill, and commitment ensure that every shipment reflects the trust our winery partners place in us.

Because at Copper Peak, precision isn’t just a process—it’s people.
