This Women’s History Month, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on some of the women powering our Napa warehouse, from receiving to packing, production, and facility care.
Vivian Mosqueda: Orchestrating Operational Flow
Vivian “Vivi” Mosqueda has been with Copper Peak for eight years, serving as Operations Lead and Inventory Specialist. She exemplifies what makes our operations exceptional: discipline, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to getting it right. Her work spans the full operation, from scheduling inbound loads with trucking partners, dispatching CPL courier drivers across Napa and Sonoma Counties, to leading the daily packing crew and coordinating outbound shipments with UPS, FedEx, and GLS.
Making a Difference for Our Clients
At the core of Vivi’s role is custodial responsibility.
She ensures that inventory is managed with precision through audits, physical counts, and ongoing accuracy checks. She keeps the operations team aligned on each winery’s custom processes and manages the movement of product both inbound and outbound. On the packing floor, she leads with clarity and accountability, making sure every detail is executed exactly as our clients expect.

Outside the warehouse, Vivi cherishes time with her husband, children, and her American Cocker Spaniel, Toby, who occasionally joins her at work and quickly becomes everyone’s favorite coworker.
Candelaria Ortiz De Ruiz: Impact Across the Operation
Candelaria “Candy” Ortiz De Ruiz, Receiving Specialist, has been with Copper Peak for five years, and her reach touches every corner of the warehouse. Candy manages all returned packages. She investigates carrier issues, processes damages, and ensures inventory accuracy, all while stepping in wherever help is needed. Candy’s approach is simple: lighten the load for those around her. She brings adaptability, thoughtfulness, and a team-first mindset to every task.
Overcoming Challenges and Growing Through Them
Growth in operations comes from taking on challenges that push you beyond the day-to-day and Candy has done exactly that.
One of her proudest achievements came during a warehouse management system transition, where she helped redesign workflows, create SOPs, and elevate both internal processes and client experiences. It required learning, adaptability, and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
The result was a stronger, more scalable operation, and a milestone Candy is incredibly proud to have been part of.

Outside of work, Candy embraces life fully! Performing with her folklórico dance group, reading poetry, hiking, and savoring a good tequila.
Maria Carreras: Crafting Every Package
On the packing floor, Maria Carreras ensures every order reflects the quality, elegance, and story of the wineries we serve. She starts her day at 5 a.m., ready to tackle custom orders with precision and care. Maria reads every freeform instruction, inspects bottles, dusts off glass, and assembles gift baskets and custom packages that are presentation-ready for clients.

At the heart of Maria’s success is a combination of skill, dedication, and passion. She treats each order as if it were her own, ensuring that every package leaving Copper Peak meets her personal standards and the expectations of our winery partners.
Beyond precision, Maria brings creativity and problem solving to her role. Special orders from winery clients or end consumers often require flexibility, innovation, and the ability to read between the lines. From modifying a gift basket to fit unique requests to creating solutions for custom packaging needs, Maria consistently demonstrates the initiative and intelligence required to deliver excellence under pressure.

Outside of work, Maria loves hiking and exploring Northern California trails, often discovering hidden waterfalls, where she recharges and returns to the warehouse with renewed energy.
Maria Duente: Driving Production Excellence
Maria Duente leads our production team, overseeing every winery club shipment, release project, and custom production run to ensure it is executed flawlessly and on time. Her team is responsible for high volume production work, where hundreds or thousands of packages must be assembled perfectly and consistently. Her energy, endurance, and attention to detail set the pace for the entire production floor.

Within our organization, Maria has earned a reputation that speaks volumes. Many team members will tell you that no one can physically outwork Maria and if they haven’t said it, it’s likely only because they haven’t spent a day working beside her. Her determination, energy, and focus set the pace for everyone around her.
What continues to impress us most is the incredible volume of work that passes through Maria’s team each day while still meeting the strict quality standards Copper Peak holds itself to. Bottles are meticulously checked for imperfections, packaging is carefully assembled, and every order is handled with care. Maria takes tremendous pride in her work and is motivated by the satisfaction of seeing large projects completed accurately and efficiently.

Outside of work, Maria enjoys games like lotería and canicas with friends, connecting with her community and bringing joy and focus back to the warehouse.
Micaela Ochoa: Excellence in Facility Care
Micaela “Mica” Ochoa ensures our Devlin Road facility reflects the care and professionalism Copper Peak is known for. From sparkling lobbies and offices to organized warehouse floors, Mica’s meticulous work provides a clean, safe, and efficient environment where our team can excel. She manages supplies, maintains safety equipment, and ensures all work areas are clean and organized.
Sustainability in Action
Mica also plays a key role in maintaining our recycling program, making sure materials are properly sorted, stored, and disposed of. Her diligence supports our broader environmental goals and helps us operate responsibly as a business within community.
